JAMMU, Mar 7: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta along with Dr. Goutam Goel here today inaugurated lane and drain work near Commerce College in Ward 19.
The work shall be completed at a cost of Rs. 3 lakh and the lane-drain was in dilapidated condition since long due to which locals of the area were facing a lot of problems while passing through the lane.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor asked residents of his Ward to cooperate JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
He urged upon them to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and stop throwing debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
Gupta further asked the residents of his Ward to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals including Madan Lal, Manga Ram, Sham Lal Bagotra, Madan Lal, Sarita Kumari and others were also present on the occasion.
