JAMMU, May 31: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta of Ward number-19 here today started work of a Community Hall at Rajiv Colony in Bikram Chowk which will be completed at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh.
Community Hall in the area was a long pending demand of the people of the area as the poor people faced a lot of problems in organising their functions. Speaking on the occasion JMC Councillor, Amit Gupta said that the Community Hall work will be completed after few days after which the people will easily organise their functions.
He asked the people of his Ward to cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the Corporation.
Gupta urged upon the people to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and don’t throw debris and in public drains and lanes.
He also stressed on adopting the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at household level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
