Amit starts work of laying water supply pipes

JAMMU, Feb 6: Councillor of Ward number 19 of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Amit Gupta here today started the work of laying new water supply pipes at Prem Nagar.
The work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 2 lakh and the water supply pipes n the area being very old have been damaged which directly affected quality of water supplied to the households in the area.
It is pertinent to mention here that many areas of Jammu city gets dirty and contaminated water as pipes there are even more than 60 years old which have been rusted and somewhere these have also developed leaks.
Speaking on the occasion Amit Gupta said that other works of the Ward shall also be completed soon.
He asked the residents of his Ward to stop throwing garbage here and there and use the service of garbage collecting autos properly.
Gupta urged upon the people to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine works and help in making Jammu a neat and clean city.
Many locals of the area were also present on the occasion.
