SRINAGAR, Oct 30: In continuation of the streak towards improvement of industrial infrastructural facilities in J&K through various initiatives of J&K State Industrial Development Corporation, Amit Sharma, MD SIDCO alongwith his team of officers including two General Managers Ejaz Agah and Khursheed Ahmed Dar, Senior Managers Mushtaq DB, Mohd Shabbir and others took an extensive tour of Food Park located at its industrial estate Doabgah Sopore and issued instructions for making Sopore Food Park as one of the model food processing parks of the State.
Amit Sharma visited almost all the plants located in Sopore Food Park and checked the quality of production, cleanliness, hygienic standards, work-culture, plant & machinery, waste disposals, eco-friendliness and future expansion plans of these units. He also told the respective entrepreneurs to maintain safety of the entire unit while taking all precautionary measures towards mitigating any exigency or disaster in near future. He instructed estates team to take all proactive measures for timely rent collections, maintenance of water and electricity supplies to the units and upkeep of total infrastructure of Food Park located at Doabgah, Sopore.
SIDCO team also visited the sites wherein new infrastructures such as CA Stores and other Food Processing units are coming up. Managing Director, directed SE of SIDCO to prepare a comprehensive proposal for complete infrastructural overhauling at this Food Park so that it can be given a complete face-lift at the earliest. Moreover, he directed his team to ensure that the work in all the SIDCO Industrial Estates of Kashmir should continue uninterruptedly during winter months and the unit holders should not face any hardships which will be personally monitored by him.
Before concluding this trip, MD SIDCO also held an interactive session with unit-holders and noted all their genuine grievances on which he issued spot instructions for immediate redressal and assured to take-up few issues such as provision of stable and uninterrupted power supply, expansion of space for Food Park, etc. with concerned quarters of the Government at the earliest.
