JAMMU, Aug 6: BJP national general secretary and in charge J&K, Tarun Chugh today said that besides making India self reliant, PM Narendra Modi gifted country with 507 Amrit Bharat Railway Stations to make country strong and a powerful nation. Besides, these stations will give a new shape to country, he added.
Chugh in a statement issued here, today said to make Indian Railway as world class the Government will incur Rs 24152 crore on this project.
He said in Punjab under the Amrit Bharat Railway Station 22 Railway stations will be made world class railway stations on which Rs 1057 crore will be spent. The Indian Railway is continuously working to provide better connectivity and high tech facilities at Railway stations to its passengers, he added.
He said to give a complete face lift to railway stations in the country the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi laid foundation of 507 Amrit Bharat Railway Stations and sanctioned Rs 24152 crore for the same.
Chugh said Railways has been called the luck line of India and with PM’s efforts the Railways will take India on the path of progress and prosperity. He said Amrit Bharat Railway Station policy will give complete facelift to country’s railway system. Under this policy the Master plans for Railway stations will be prepared and all basic facilities will be provided at these stations to the passengers.
Chugh said besides, providing of the new facilities at these railway stations the existing facilities will also be upgraded for the convenience of passengers.
He said with the complete face lift to Railway the other connected sectors will also get a boost besides this will create the employment avenues for the people. He said under this scheme the stations will be fully developed with bettering facilities and designing of stations etc.
