The controversy over Jinnah’s portrait in Aligarh Muslim University has tarnished the image of this great institution. It is true that Jinnah does not deserve any sort of position in this country, but it is also very wrong that the image of AMU is put at stake over his portrait. The AMU administration should not allow such incidents in this world class institution.
According to the survey conducted by Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2018 AMU stands as the seventh best university of India and holds rank between 600-800 in the world universities.
Rather than indulging in the communal politics, it is need of the time that efforts are made to improve the capacity building of the institution further. So that students who read in it get quality education. This will help these students realize their dreams, and contribute in nation building process.
