SRINAGAR, Jan 5: Army on Sunday paid rich tributes to the four soldiers, who lost their lives in a road accident in Jammu Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday.

General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based sensitive Chinar Corps , officers of Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) paid homage to four soldiers during a ceremony held in Srinagar on Sunday.
Havildar Hari Ram Rewar, Lance Havildar Pawan Kumar, Lance Naik Jitendr Kumar Yadav and Lance Naik Nitish Kumar lost their lives in the line of duty at Bandipora when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down to a deep gorge on Saturday. Two soldiers were also injured in the accident.
“Chinar Warriors salute the valour and sacrifice of the brave hearts and express deep gratitude to our brothers from S K Payeen, District Bandipora for extending help in rescue and recovery”, Army Chinar Corps posted on X.
“We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and are committed to their well-being,” they added.
