JAMMU, Dec 22: A meeting of the Working Committee was held today at the office of Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF), Narwal under the chairmanship of Attar Singh to discuss the resignation of Neeraj Anand, president CTF and other important issues.
Patrons and senior members rejected the resignation and urged Neeraj Anand to re-assume his post as president till the time Re-registration process with the Registrar of Societies is completed.
Speaking on the occasion S. Attar Singh, patron, CTF observed that there is no Constitutional Provision that bars president of CTF to join any political party hence, Anand should continue to offer his services at CTF as well as BJP.
Vinod Sachdeva, patron, also opined that business community of J&K is reeling under stress and the State is yet to complete the cycle of transformation from State to UT thus Anand should immediately resume his duties as president, CTF and work with same zeal towards betterment of business community.
Later, market heads and other senior members also requested Anand to continue serving the business community as president CTF.
After persuasion Anand accepted to be the president with immediate effect and assured all his seniors and fellow business community members that he would work tirelessly for betterment of local J&K business.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Praveen Gupta, Raghuvir Gupta, Devinder Gupta , SK Gupta, Raman Gupta, Shiv Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Tushar Mahajan, Ajay Gupta, Parag Abrol and others.
