JAMMU, May 30: The grand religious yatra to Anandpur Sahib will be flagged off from Digiana Ashram Jammu by Mahant Manjit Singhji,  head priest of Dera Nangali Sahib (Poonch) on June 12.
Talking to media-persons Daljit Singh Bedi, Assistant Secretary  Shiromani Gurdawara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Amritsar, said that to celebrate the 350 year of foundation day of  Sri Anandpur Sahib, large number of  Sikh community members from J&K are willing to become part of celebrations. In this connection five persons were deputed by SGPC Amritsar to discuss the measures and yatra arrangement here with the Dera Nangali Sahib head.
In this connection, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of religious head Mahant Manjit Singh ji and various measures were discussed. Several prominent Sikh community leaders from the region were also present. Swarn Singh Khalsa, Tarvinder Singh, Balbir Singh and Kirpal Singh from SGPC Amritsar were also present in the meeting.
It was decided that Yatra to Sri Anandpur Sahib will start from Digiana Ashram Jammu on June 12 at 8 am. The yatra will return  on June 14. The nominal bus fare from Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts will be Rs 300 per yatri, Rs 500 for Rajouri and Udhampur, Rs 700 for Poonch and Rs 1000 for Srinagar. About 70 buses are likely to leave for Anandpur Sahib under the guidance of Mahant Manjit Singh.
Mr Singh claimed that several organizations under the banner of  Sikh United Front J&K, are actively participating in this historic yatra, where 10th Guru Gobind   Singh ji started Khalsa Panth in 1699.
