Anant Chaturdashi celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Sept 29: The Anant Chaturdashi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety today.
On the occasion a Maha Yagya was organised at Nagbal Anantnag in South Kashmir by Anantnag Prabhandak Committee led by M K Bambroo its president and Jigan Ji Goja its chairman.
Hundreds of devotees attended the function and they were served with prashad after Puranahuti.
Special pooja was held in the Nagbal premises. The function was also attended by MP Anantnag Dr Mehboob Beg who announced Rs 20 lakh for the development of the Nagbal from his Constituency Development Fund. Deputy Commissioner Anantnag was also present on the occasion. Dr Mehboob Beg urged him to provide special funds for the development of Nagbal.
The other members of the Committee present include Ramesh Kumar Bhat, Roshan Lal Koul, Shadi Lal Pandita and Maharaj Krishan.
On the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi the relic of Mata Roop Bhawani was also displayed for darshan of devotees at Roop Bhawani temple Sharda Colony, Patoli Brahmanah.
A large number of devotees attended the function and participated in the special pooja archana. The devotees were served prashad. The function was organised by Avtar Krishan Dhar.
