Anant Chaturdashi celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety

JAMMU, Sept 14: Anant Chaturdashi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety today. In this connection functions were held at various temples but the main function was held at Nagbal Anantnag.
The function was organized by Nagbal Prabhandak Committee Anantnag under the leadership of its president M K Bambroo.
On the occasion 12 Kalshs of Krishan Mandir Anantnag were installed and SSP Anantnag, Ramesh Jalla was the special guest during the installation ceremony.
Earlier MP and Senior NC leader, Dr Mehboob Beg inaugurated the developmental works of the shrine which are being constructed under his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
A large number of devotees attended the function. A Maha Yagya was also solemnized on the occasion and the devotees were served with Prashad after Puranahuti. The devotees also participated in the Bhajan Kirtan held in the temple premises.
Another function in connection with celebration of Anant Chaturdashi was held at Mata Roop Bhawani temple Sharda Colony, Patoli Brahmana under the supervision of Avtar Krishan Dhar.
On the occasion the holy relics of Mata were displayed for darshan of devotees. A large number of devotees attended the function which culminated with serving of prashad to devotees. Devotes also participated in Bhajan Kirtan on the occasion.
