SRINAGAR, Aug 9: Chairman Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali accompanied by the Minister for Rural development and Panchyats, Abdul Haq khan today visited the Ganderbal district to get the first hand information about the functioning of the Panchyat Ghars (PGs) in the district and also the status of the implementation of various Rural development schemes.
Director Rural Development, Tasaduq Jeelani and other senior officers of the department and administration were accompanying them.
The Panchayat Ghars inspected were those at Wusan,Gund, besides the BDO’s office at Gund was also inspected.
While interacting with the locals en route, they maintained that the necessary instructions have already been given to the officers to ensure speedy and timely completion of various RD schemes meant for ensuring sustained and need based development of the rural areas, besides elevating the socio- economic profile of the people living in these areas.
