JAMMU, Dec 31: Anganwari workers and helpers today staged protest demonstrations in almost all the district headquarters of Jammu province including Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Vijaypur and Reasi in support of their demands.
After holding demonstrations, the executive committee of Anganwari workers and helpers union unanimously decided to hold a similar protest demonstration on January 12 near Press Club to press the Government to fulfill their burning demands which include immediate disbursement of pending honorarium of Anganwari workers and helpers including those whose termination order has been stayed by the State High Court.
The other demands of the association are enhancement of honorarium of Anganwari workers and helpers on the pattern of Punjab and Haryana, and 100% promotion avenues from Supervisor to CDPO, worker to Supervisor and helper to worker.
