LEH, Oct 3: The Deputy Commissioner Leh Tsering Angchuk today apprised the Union Home Secretary, RK Singh about the progress of all Centrally sponsored ongoing schemes of Leh district with special reference to the Task Force Scheme.
The DC also gave a detailed information about the present status of restoration works aftermath of August 2010 flash flood which caused massive destruction to the public and private properties.
He also explained about the funding flow, latest expenditure statement and requirement of further funds to do the remaining permanent restoration works in the district.
Demanding additional funds under BADP to complete the ongoing projects, the DC apprised the Union Home Secretary about the difficulties being faced by the district administration in implementing the projects in various villages located close to the Indo-China border.
The Union Home Secretary expressed satisfaction over the work done in Leh district.
