JAMMU, Mar 30: Former Chairman Social Justice Committee of JMC, Jeet Angral along with former Minister, Sat Sharma here today inaugurated the construction work for linear drainage system in Ward No. 12 marking a significant step towards enhancing the civic infrastructure of the area.
The project, estimated to cost Rs. 48 lakh in the Ward, will provide a modern drainage system that will benefit the residents by preventing water-logging, reducing risk of water-borne diseases and improving overall sanitation.
Senior BJP leader, Parmod Kapai and Kesav Chopra were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Jeet Angral said that this project will address a very old problem of water-logging in the area and will improve the overall hygiene and sanitation there.
He said that other issues of the Ward shall also be looked into soon.
Krishna Dingra, Yash Pal Shivgotra, Barinder Dogra, Dr. Surjeet Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
