Angral takes up issues with Advisor Khan

JAMMU, Dec 16: Chairman, Social Justice Committee Municipal Corporation Jammu Jeet Kumar Angral met Dr Farooq Khan, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir and took up pension related matters with him.
The Chairman told the advisor that lakhs of pension cases have been approved by the Government, but thousands of people are still waiting for acceptance of pension in Jammu city. In such a situation, we request you that the Government should make a plan in this direction that at least 200 pension cases should be approved in each ward of Jammu city, including widow pension, old age pension and disability cases, so that every class can get relief from it.
He also demanded from the Advisor that if a woman above the age of 40 is widowed according to the rules set by the Government, then she is considered entitled to pension but in cases in which there are also women from poor families who are widowed at an early age. Under these circumstances, the benefit of convenience should also be given to such widows whose age is below 40 years in cases of pension, Angral added.
Apart from this, Chairman also consulted some other plans of his committee and the functioning of the corporation with the advisor. Advisor assured them that their demands for public interest would be considered and he should continue his efforts in the public interest.
Councilor of Ward 75 Raj Rani, Councilor of Ward 43 Kuldeep Singh, Councilor of Ward 4 Tripta Devi, Councilor of Ward 4 Ritu Chaudhary and Councilor of Ward 7 Sham Lal were also present on the occasion.
