JAMMU, Apr 25: Ashok Kumar Angural, a senior ITS officer of 1987 batch, today took over as Principal General Manager Telecom Business Area (BA) Jammu (PGMT BA Jammu) Jammu.
He took over the charge from Ram Kumar Agrawal, who has been transferred to Delhi on central deputation in Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
A son of the soil, A K Angural has already served in Telecom District Jammu as GMTD before proceeding to Foreign Service Deputation in TCIL for execution of TCIL’s Foreign Telecom Projects initially for three years which was extended from time to time eight years from February 2014 to March 2022. During this Foreign Service assignment, he worked for four years as Regional Director of TCIL in Kuwait and next four years as CEO, TCIL Muscat for its Foreign Telecom Projects in Oman.
Hailing from small village Swankha in Samba District, Mr Angural graduated from REC Srinagar in 1986. He joined Department of Telecom in 1989 and handled various senior level assignments. He has already served almost all the Telecom Districts of J&K.
