Anil Bhat receives ‘State award’ from J&K Government for excellence in journalism

JAMMU, July 21: The chief of bureau of Press Trust of India (PTI) Jammu, Anil Bhat today received ‘State award’ and Gold medal for excellence in journalism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhat was presented with award including a gold medal, citation and a cash award of Rs 51000 by the Government today.
The Jammu and Kashmir Government had announced award for Bhat on the Republic Day in 2018. There was delay in holding investure ceremony by the Government to present state award to several awardees since 2016.
Bhat had started journalism in 1994 and has worked with various organization before joining PTI. He is serving as Bureau chief of PTI Jammu since 2010.
He was also awarded as Lala Jagat Narain, Clean India Media foundation and Harmony foundation and PTI awards apart from GoC-In-C commendation certificate. He has also done defence correspondence course (DCC) batch 2006.
