JAMMU, Jan 5: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Anil Kumar Masoom here today started lane and drain work at Boria Mohalla in Ward number 10.
BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi was also present on the occasion and the work shall be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 10.34 lakh.
Lanes and drains of the area were in dilapidated condition since long and the locals of the area and passersby especially old persons were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Yudhvir Sethi asked the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by it in Jammu city.
Masoom urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastics and polythene in their routine work.
He asked the public to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat and clean city.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Mandal president, Ram Dass, Surinder Bansal, Parveen Kerni, Mandal president East, Vishab Partap, Ajeet Yogi, Rahul Pradhan, Ashwani Charak, Satpal Singh, Parkash Singh, Sharda Devi, Satish Kumar, Tarun Gupta, Vinay Chopra, Nipun Malhotra, Benso Devi, Hari Mahajan, Thakur Singh and others.
