JAMMU, Mar 16: Anil Sharma, President, All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) today officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming Nagrota Assembly by-elections.
Addressing a public rally near Narsingh Temple in Jindrah, Anil Sharma emphasized the need for political change in the region, particularly the rejection of nepotism and favouritism.
He stressed that the upcoming election would be a contest between a local candidate and an outsider.

Sharma, associated with the BJP, made it clear that if his party selects a relative of an affluent individual instead of him, he would contest as an independent candidate.

The rally addressed by Sharma was attended by youth, senior citizens, and prominent local figures, including retired head masters Ganga Dutt Sharma, Chander Mouli; Haji Rafiq, Ex-Sarpanches Anil Barsala, Mansa Ram; Sher Ali, Karmu Choudhary among others.
