Anila Charak awarded with ‘Maharaj Krishan Jain Smriti Samman’

JAMMU, June 11: Anila Singh Charak a renowned writer, satirist and poetess, has been awarded with ‘Maharaj Krishan Jain Smriti Samman’ for her contribution in Hindi literature by Purvottar Hindi Sahitya Academy Shillong.
The award was conferred by the Cabinet Minister of Shillong, Sanbor Shullai, Lajja Ram Bishnoi, Deputy General Police and Secretary Education, Brahma Dutt to her at a function, held at Shillong.
The Purvottar Hindi Sahitya Academy Shillong organised a three days conference in Shillong (Meghalaya) for the promotion of Hindi in North East, wherein more than 100 writers from different States participated.
Anila Singh Charak is a multifaceted personality who has won many awards including ‘Best Book Award’ from Jammu Kashmir Sahitya Academy and Bhartendu Harishchandra Award as well as awarded with Rashtrapati Award of Best Principal at All India level.
On this occasion an enthralling “Kavi Sammelan’ was also organised which left the audience spellbound.
