I want to report a very unfortunate and brutal incident that has been been bought to our notice by an animal lover in Katra Kuldeep Singh. In the recent forest fire in Trikuta hills many animals were burnt alive as they had no chance of escaping the forest fire because of the iron fencing done by shrine board. Some of the animals who were still alive although burnt badly were not given any treatment to save them or to put them to sleep in a humane and prescribed manner to put them out of their misery, but burried alive along with dead animals.
This is the third forest fire this year, and it happens every year, does Shrine Board or Katra Municipal Corporation has any disaster management plan in place to save animals as there is no escape route for the unfortunate?
Was the postmortem and medical report of the dead animals made? Were the animals checked and declared dead by a qualified doctor of animal husbandry before they were burried?
Animals cannot speak for themselves but suffer silently thats why no one is wiser about such extreme incidents of cruelty by the employees of the shrine board and the corporation. The Shrine Board authorities are requested to look into this horrific incident of animal abuse and suffering and book all the people and departments involved directly and indirectly in the torture, suffering and death of animals trapped in the forest fire and then burried alive. Hoping and praying for justice for all the animals who must have suffered the same fate over the last so many years.
