JAMMU, Apr 2: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Anita Sharma here today started lane and drain work at Malhotra Street in Ward 11.
The work will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 20 lakh and the lane and drain were in dilapidated condition since long due to which the locals of the area and the passersby faced a lot of problems while passing through the lane.
Speaking on the occasion Anita Sharma asked the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
She urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and stop throwing debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
The Councillor further asked the people to segregate dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals including Dr. Rajinder Sethi, Asha Kapoor, Seema Sharma, Darshna Devi, Sheru, Rajinder Gupta, Sanjay Sharma, Raman Gupta, Ajay Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
