JAMMU, May 14: Ankur Maitrika Hospital here is providing Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgeries with in-house Neuro and Vascular Surgeons and the Hospital has become a facility for the people of Jammu with all modern equipments and facilities at par with any other hospital in north India.
A complex limb surgery was successfully performed at the Hospital on a young lady who reported at emergency department of the Hospital at midnight on May 10, 2022 after falling from Scooty and injuring her leg.
Dr. Satvir Singh, Director of Trauma and Joint Replacement Unit and his team including Dr. M. Javed Bandey (Surgeon), Dr. Dhruv (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon) and Dr. Rohit Gupta (Aesthetic) performed the surgery within the golden hour period of Trauma and the operation lasted for 5 hours as it required reconstruction of muscles, tendons, nerves and blood vessels of the leg and this was followed by skin flap repair through microsurgical techniques.
Postoperative results were satisfactory and the patient was discharged on third postoperative day.
