JAMMU, Mar 2: Ankur Gupta was elected president of Nanak Nagar, Shiva Ji Chowk Shopkeepers Association in a keen contest here, today.
He defeated Devinder Mahajan by a solitary vote. Ankur got 97 votes while Devinder got 96 votes. Ankur was declared elected by Deepak Malhotra who was nominated as presiding officer to hold the elections of the Association.
Soon after getting elected Ankur assured the shopkeepers fraternity of the area that he will work with dedication for their betterment and highlighting their genuine demands with the concerned authorities.
