RAJOURI, Feb 28: A protest was held at the ANMT (Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery Training) School in Rajouri after an alleged incident of misbehavior with a student by an outsider.
Agitated students gathered in large number in the school premises, demanding strict action against the accused and enhance security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
The protest continued for several hours, with students raising slogans and urging authorities to take immediate steps to ensure their safety on the campus. The matter was promptly brought to the attention of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, who assured the students that a thorough investigation would be conducted.
CMO Rajouri stated, “We take this incident very seriously. A proper investigation will be carried out, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty. The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority,” he added,
The students, while temporarily calling off their protest following the assurance, have urged authorities to expedite the investigation and implement strict security measures at the institution.
