JAMMU, July 8: Setting all speculations to rest, the BJP national vice president today said that announcement regarding establishing of separate AIIMS for Jammu will be made as per the assurance of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh.
Talking to reporters here, today at the sidelights of Party meeting, he said BJP fully endorses the commitment made by Deputy Chief Minister in this regard and announcement regarding separate AIIMS for Jammu will be made soon.
He also ruled out any change in the Ministry and said that High Command is fully satisfied with the performance of Ministers. He said the coalition is working as per CMP and the performance of 100 days of this Government is much better that 67 year rule of opposition parties.
Mr Khanna who was here to take stock of the progress made so far regarding the ongoing “Maha Sampark Abhiyaan” of the Party in the State, alongwith State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and National secretary Farooq Khan, chaired a meeting of Party leaders who have undertaken the task of this Maha Samparak Abhiyaan at district and Mandal levels.
Khanna, while expressing satisfaction over the progress made so far, said that the Party has registered 11 crore members across the country and the BJP activists will be reaching these members to express gratitude and physical verification of each member besides briefing them about the programmes and policies of the party. He said that it is in this regard that a meeting of North Zone States will be held at New Delhi on July 12, to be chaired by BJP National President Amit Shah and Party national office bearers, State office bearers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and Maha Sampark Abhiyaan Pramukhs at district levels will be participating in it. During this one day meeting, the respective states will be submitting their individual details in connection with “Maha Sampark Abhiyaan”.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the party activists have done a splendid work by getting registered record number of members in Jammu & Kashmir like other states. “For the first time the BJP has received overwhelming response in Kashmir Valley as more than 2 lakh people there have become our members”, he said and added that it is an indication of the change in mindset of the Valley people for whom BJP is no more an untouchable party. These people have also realized that it is the BJP which is a truly people centric party, he said.
Farooq Khan also expressed his views in the meeting and putforth valuable suggestions to further accelerate the ongoing exercise of contacting the people and appreciated the efforts of party activists for working round the clock to complete the task.
State General Secretaries Munish Sharma and Dr. Narinder Singh presented detailed reporting of their visits to different districts in connection with Maha Sampark Abhiyaan.
State Maha Sampark Abhiyaan Pramukh Karan Singh and Seh-Pramukh Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana briefed the meeting about various aspects of this campaign.
