JAMMU, Dec 28: Life Insurance agents from Srinagar Division of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India, comprising whole J&K State, organized 28th annual convention here today.
All India president of LIAFI Devi Shanker Shukla was the chief guest while several special guest included zonal president (NZ) Prithipal Singh Valecha, Zonal secretary Tota Ram Upadhya, D C Thakur Senior Divisional Manager Srinagar Division, Ashok Thakur- Maketing Manager Sgr Div, Jia Lal Sharma- Manager Sales and S S Sambyal Manager CLIA DO Cell, Jammu. The LIC agents from all the branches of the Division, including various districts of Jammu region attended the programme.
Divisional president Narinder Sharma welcomed chief guest and all other guests and special invitees and also highlighted activities and achievements of the Association. He also projected the day today problems being faced by the agents community and sought their reddressal. Mr Sharma also threw light on the challenges being faced by the agents in view of changing rules. He also educated the agents about the Insurance Act and Club rules and changes being taken place. The withdrawal of all the old plans and introduction of new plans were discussed and explained to all agents.
The Divisional president also referred to the national executive meet held in October at Ahmedabad and decision taken there for the welfare of the agents community.
Referring to 15th General Council Meet held at Siliguri in which 18 agents from Srinagar Div ( J&K) participated, the Divisional chief projected the pending demands of the agents community to boost their morale. Mr Shukla and Zonal head also projected the issues of the agents with force. They sought attractive bonus for the policy holders, improved services with a smile for the policy holders and agents, getting IRDA Gazette notification implemented in case of commission which is beneficial for agents, Welfare and Provident Fund for agents, more monitory benefits for direct and carreer agents, enhancement of gratuity, Group Term Insurance cover up to 75 years of age, terminal benefits for agents who are preliminary disabled or incapacitated in any form to procure new business and productivity linked incentives for number of policies and new business.
