JAMMU, Nov 29: The nine day long annual festival of Shri Kaal Bhairav Ashtami culminated here today at ancient temple of the deity in heart of the city near Chowk Chabutra.
Heavy rush of devotees started visiting the shrine right from the wee hours today and their number increased as the day proceeded and the scenario remained the same till evening hours.
The temple of Shri Kaal Bhairav Ji was beautifully decorated with special flowers and fancy lights while proper cleanliness was maintained in the entire area by the Jammu Municipal Corporation. Click here to watch video
Organiser of the function, Pandit Rumil Sharma said that special Pooja and other rituals were performed for relief from the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19 and progress of the nation and this was followed by a Bhandara in which the devotees were served different dishes.
Shri Kaal Bhairav Ashtami was celebrated on November 27 with religious fervour amidst performing of different rituals including a nightlong Hawan.
The celebrations of Shri Kaal Bhairav Ashtami had started on November 21 with a Prabhat Pheri which was followed by a bikers rally.
On conclusion of the annual festival balloons were released today evening and special Aarti was performed after which fire crackers were burst.
