Annual Machail Yatra to start on August 1

JAMMU, July 10: Annual Machail Yatra will start from August 1 with Chhari Mubarak.
This was stated by Prahalad Singh Rathore, president Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha J&K Machail Yatra Management and its general secretary, Ram Singh Chauhan while talking to reporters here today.
They said the Thali Poojan of yatra will start from Maha Laxmi /Chandi Maa temple, Pacca Danga, Jammu on August 17 and it will reach Bhaderwah on the same day.
On August 18 the Trishul yatra will start from Chenote Bhaderwah and reach Kishtwar for a night halt. Next day the Trishul Yatra will leave for Atholi Paddar and after a night halt there it will leave for holy Jawala Mata temple.
They said after having the darshan of holy Jawala Mata temple Schule Atholi on August 20, the yatra will take a night stay at Masu Paddar and on August 21 the Yatra will reach Chesoti village and the Trishul will be kept in the premises of Goddess Kali Mata.
The Yatra will reach at Machail Bhawan on August 22 where it will stay for full day of August 23 and perform Havan, Kirtan and traditional folk dance known as Kud Kharzath. Besides, other rituals will also be performed.
They said August 24 the Trishul will back to Atholi and on August 26 the Trishul will reach Chanote, Bhaderwah and yatra will conclude.
They said the yatra was started Th. Kulbir Singh Jamwal with two dozen yatris and now lakhs of pilgrims are visiting the holy shrine.
