REASI, June 20: Continuing its drive, Reasi Police today arrested another absconder, who was evading arrests since last 7 years.
Accused Bittu, son of Lalman of Tulli, Tehsil Mahore, was absconding in case FIR number 21/2013, dated 05/03/2013 of Police Station Reasi.
The case was proved during investigation and challaned in the court of law. To avoid conviction, the accused evaded arrest by going underground and couldn’t be apprehended since the registration of the case FIR. Accused dodged the investigation agencies by disguising his appearance. A `General Warrent of Arrest’ under section 512 CrPC was issued by Munsiff JMIC Reasi, against the accused on 31/07/2015.
By meticulously planning, Police Station Reasi traced the accused and arrested him from Katra town. This is the arrest of 19th absconder by Reasi Police since April 2021.
