Another batch of 1250 yatris reaches Poonch

POONCH, Aug 5: Another batch of 1250 pilgrims reached Poonch this evening while over 1700 devotees performed darshan at Shri Budha Amarnath ji shrine at Mandi in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that 1250 pilgrims today left for Shri Budha Amarnath ji shrine at Mandi in Poonch from the base camp at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu in 15 buses and 35 medium and light motor vehicles this morning. The yatra left for Poonch city under security cover and reached here in the evening.
Members of  Yatra Reception Committee including Satish Sasan president S D Sabha Poonch and Yatra Officer Ratish Gupta received the pilgrims       at College Ground here this evening. Some senior officers of the district administration were also present.
Earlier, the pilgrims at Sunderbani were offered break fast. They were also served Langar at Nowshera and Rajouri. At Bhimber Gali and Dundak in Surankote area, the Army provided tea and eatables to the pilgrims.
The pilgrims have been accommodated at Geeta Bhawan, Akhara Mandir Sarai, College, ITI and two Higher Secondary Schools. These pilgrims would leave for Mandi tomorrow morning.
