JAMMU, Oct 10: The Medical Board of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has detected one more candidate who had secured provisional admission in MBBS Course in GMC Udhampur, with fake disability certificate.
As per details available, three students namely Dhakshi Langeh (UT Rank 3159), Gowhar Ali (UT Rank 2629) and Abrar Ahmed (UT Rank 3781) were provisionally admitted under PwD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) category in GMC Udhampur.
However, when these candidates were examined for their disability claims by the Medical Board of GMC Jammu on the request of Principal GMC Udhampur, the Medical Board found “old united fracture of left distal humerus and left patella with orthopaedic implants in situ” in one of the candidates namely Abrar Ahmed son of Talib Bussain resident of Anmbaran (Akhnoor, Jammu) on his thorough examination.
Though the disability certificate issued to Abrar Ahmed by CMO Jammu vide number JK2110620000130860 dated 14-08-2023 has mentioned disability of 40% but the Medical Board of GMC Jammu on examination of the candidate found that he had no disability and whatever symptoms candidate had, could be treated by removal of implants.
According to the sources, the report (opinion) of the Medical Board has been shared with Principal GMC Udhampur, who in turn will recommend the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) to cancel the provisional admission of Abrar Ahmed.
