Another COVID death in Jammu, 19 new cases

JAMMU, June 21: Jammu region today reported another COVID death–second in last two days–and 19 fresh positive cases, 18 of them in Jammu district alone.
A 70-year-old man hailing from Udheywalla in Jammu died at home and tested positive for COVID-19 at the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu where he was brought dead. He was double vaccinated.
This has taken COVID toll in Jammu district to 1226 and Jammu division to 2330.
Among 19 COVID positive cases in Jammu region today, 18 were registered in Jammu district and one in Udhampur.
Jammu now has 121 active positive cases, 111 of them in Jammu district.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported five new COVID positive cases—four in Leh district and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 27 active positive cases-26 in Leh and one in Kargil.
