ANTF nabs one with charas worth lakhs

JAMMU, Apr 1: The Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of Jammu and Kashmir Police achieved another success today after it foiled a bid to smuggle charas worth lakhs of Rupees.
A spokesperson of ANTF Jammu said that on received specific information that one person namely Ranjit Kumar son of Khem Chand, resident of Mandir Wali Gali, Sewala Gwalior Road, Agra (UP) brought charas from Kashmir valley for smuggling to Agra, a case FIR Number 04/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu.
He said, accordingly, ANTF team under the overall supervision of SSP Vinay Sharma immediately swung into action and apprehended the accused from ISBT Narwal, and recovered 3 kilograms of charas that he had concealed in a bag. “The accused was arrested on the spot. Anti Narcotics Task Force is investigating further links and more arrests are expected,” the spokesperson added.
