The Case was registered on the basis of a verification conducted by ACB into the allegations of fabrication of revenue records and the release of compensation money disproportionately amongst the beneficiaries in village Mand, District Udhampur by Sh.Nasir Iqbal Parray, the then Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur & Mohd Saleem Banday, the then Patwari Halqa Mand, Udhampur, in league with the beneficiaries thereby wrongfully and dishonestly facilitating the release of compensation amount for acquisition of land for National Highway.
During the investigation, it was found that a total amount of Rs.29,07,857/-was illegally and fraudulently disbursed by the accused revenue officers/ officials as compensation among the beneficiaries by depriving the genuine land holders thus causing a loss of Rs.29,07,857/- to the state exchequer. After obtaining the prosecution sanctions from the competent authority the case has been challaned for Judicial determination. Next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for 10.05.2019.
