JAMMU, Mar 29: Jammu and Kashmir Police organised an anti-drug rally to raise awareness against the menace of drugs here at Domana area on Wednesday.
The rally that was flagged off by District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan, was attended by a gathering of almost 350 people, including youth, who were briefed on the issue.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Chairman said, “it is our collective responsibility to fight against the drug menace and protect our youth. We must come together as a community to raise awareness and provide support to those in need.”
Other officials also emphasised the importance of staying away from drugs and leading a healthy lifestyle. They encouraged the youth to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and to support their peers in making positive choices.
The rally started from Higher Secondary School Domana and culminated at Shri Jagdamba Banquet Hall in Purkhoo. Refreshments were distributed among students and volunteers.
