Anti encroachment drive launched

POONCH, Jan 28: Local administration in Surankote tehsil launched anti-encroachment drive, retrieved open land, and an academy building on saturday.
Official sources said that the Executive Magistrate Surankote along with Police and CRPF were present on the spot and retrieved about six to seven kanals open land within the Municipal limits while retrieved and sealed a building of Dastgeer Acadmy in three kanals at urban area of Potha in Surankote worth crores.
Naib Tehsildar, Mohd Afzal said that they are focusing on prime Government lands right now, while list of 150 structures is with us, many people have started to vacate lands and demolish structures themselves after issuance of notice and if people will not evict, action under law shall be taken to retrieve the lands and structures.
We are still identifying the Government lands and structures on them, while this drive will be continue in future also to vacate the State, Kacharai and Roshni lands, following the order of High court”, he added.
