Anti-encroachment drives carried out

JAMMU, Mar 26: Anti-encroachment drives were carried out in Bhaderwah and Bus Stand Kishtwar.
As per official spokesman, on the directions of Higher authorities, Municipal Committee Bhaderwah conducted anti encroachment drive within its limits.
The team comprised of Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Assistant Sanitation Officer, Trained Sanitary Inspector, police personnel led by Sub Inspectors.
During the drive, unauthorised structures were demolished and encroachments from footpaths, roads and drains were removed. Illegal hoardings and banners were also removed which were fixed and pasted by advertising agencies without prior permission from Municipal Committee Bhaderwah. Various illegal reharies were also removed.
When contacted Executive Officer MCB, he said that the drive was conducted on the directions of Higher authorities and the same would remain continue in order to enforce rule of law. He appealed to the general public to take prior permission for any type of constructions. He also appealed to the shopkeepers to keep their goods within their shops and refrain from encroaching the paths.
Meanwhile, anti encroachment drive was launched in Bus Stand area of kishtwar by Municipality. During the drive, several illegal reharies and khokhas were removed and demolished.
Owners alleged that the reharies and khokhas were established with the permission of concerned authorities and for were being regularly charged by authorities against proper receipt. Today without any prior permission, we were left jobless, they added.
SHO Kishtwar Abid Hussain, Naib Tehsildar Javed khandey and officers of Municipality were also present during this special drive.
