Srinagar, July 19: To create a safe environment for female citizens and take action against eve-teasers and other anti-social elements, the police have set up an ‘Anti-Eve Teasing Squad’ in Baramulla town.
This squad will be stationed outside Govt Degree College for Women and Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Baramulla.
According to the police, women can approach this squad for any issues and to report any crimes or violence against them.
“The squad will conduct regular patrols in areas frequented by women, such as schools, colleges, shopping malls, and marketplaces,” police said.
The police have urged female citizens to come forward with any grievances, assuring them that their safety and security will be ensured at all costs.
