SRINAGAR, Dec 29: Scores of people in Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district today protested against Power Development Department (PDD) over poor power supply.
The protesters today morning blocked Anantnag-Verinag road in front of Sub Divisional Magistrate’s office and disrupted vehicular movement. The protesters raised slogans against the power department.
The protesters said: “We have erratic power supply for last few months, particularly since the winter began. We are facing hardships due to poor power scenario and we appeal PDD officials to ensure power supply to our area.”
