JAMMU, Jan 22: A rusted anti-personnel mine was recovered near forward Border Out Post (BOP) along International Border in Samba district this morning.
Official sources said an old rusted anti-personnel mine was recovered this morning from Basantar Nullah near Band Tip BOP by a patrolling party of the BSF.
They said a Bomb Disposal Squad of the Army rushed to the spot and the device was defused later safely.
They added that the mine was rusted. It was believed that the mine might have been washed away in a rivulet and reached near the BOP.
