JAMMU, July 2: Veteran Congress leader AK Antony, former Defence Minister has convened high level meeting of top Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir to chalk out party’s election strategy on July 5 in New Delhi.
AICC (I) general secretary, Incharge Jammu and Kashmir, Ambika Soni, former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and PCC (I) chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz among others would attend the meeting.
Party sources said the meeting would decide election strategy of the party for Jammu and Kashmir, where Assembly polls are due later this year.
In the meeting, Ambika Soni would submit her report based on feedback taken from the party leaders during his visit to Kashmir to Antony. Soni had met senior party leaders in the Valley recently to know their opinion on pre-poll alliance.
Sources said the Congress would shortly appoint Observers for Jammu and Kashmir elections.
