Anurag Thakur to flag off run for unity today: Nirmal

JAMMU, Dec 14: Over 30,000 people will participate in run for unity in the State tomorrow which will be held at 21 places in the State.
This was disclosed by BJP National Executive Member and State Coordinator for Sardar Patel Rashtriya Ekta  Trust for J&K State, Dr Nirmal Singh, while talking to reporters here today along with Prof Hari Om and Karan Singh president Kissan Morcha BJP.
He said BJYM national president and MP Anurag Thakur will flag off the run for unity at Jammu which will be held from Satwari Chowk to Press Club.
He said the Divisional Commissioner, IGP and other senior officers have also been invited to grace the occasion.
Dr Singh said in other districts the respective DCs will flag off the run for unity which will be held 1150 places all over India. The people from all walks of life will participate in the race including children, youth and elderly persons.
He said in India 45 lakh people have made on line registration to participate in run for unity and in Gujarat BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will flag off run for unity at Barodra where 2.50 lakh people are taking part in it.
He said at all places the run for unity will start from 8 am to 11 am.
Dr Singh made an appeal to all people of the State irrespective of their caste, religion and region to participate in the race and make the dream of former Home Minister Sardar Patel to come true.
He said in Jammu Nissi Band will also perform at Press Club.
He said in Kashmir region the run for unity will be held at Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla while in Ladakh region it will be held at Kargil and Leh district headquarters.
