MUMBAI, Jan 19: Anuvrat Vishwa Bharati Society, a global organisation affiliated to the United Nations, organised a singing competition here today.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Acharya Mahasharman in which the Maharashtra’s Education Minister, Deepak Kesar was the chief Guest.
During the competition, 6,000 students from seventeen schools and colleges participated.
Avinash Nahar, National President, Anuvrat Vishwa Bharati Society welcomed the distinguished guests and the students who participated in the singing competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Nahar emphasised the students over the Drug abuse and said that the drug abuse has become the most common thing these days and many youth are destroying their lives by getting addicted to drugs. It’s very important to sensitize our youth on the subject of drug abuse. They are ruining the lives of our youth and putting their future in a great darkness. The use of drugs is making their lives vulnerable and prone to destruction. Therefore, it becomes very important to raise awareness about it amongst our youth and prevent them from succumbing to it.
“India is a land of diversities, therefore, in order to bring unity, education is a means for emotional integration. We cannot do without any kind of education. Education is an essential aspect of human development. Education is a means of achieving a world of peace, justice, freedom, and equality for all. Thus, education is extremely necessary for all. No good life is possible without education. Education also channelizes the undeveloped capacities, attitude, interest, urges and needs of the individual into desirable channels. The individual can adjust and modify his environment with the help of education as per his need,” he said.
Among others who were addressed on the occasion included Acharya Mahvir Kumar, Sadhvi Vishrutvibha, Manan Kumar and Sadhvi Sambhuysha.
