JAMMU, May 17: Association of Industries (AOI), Gangyal has expressed its deepest concern over the negative attitude of J&K Government towards the existing Industry.
In a meeting of the Association held here, its president, Rajesh Jain said that the Government has issued an incentive of reimbursement of SGST on value addition. The Association many times requested the concerned authorities to amend Clause 5.1 of SRO-63 dated 5-2-2018 which says that manufacturer shall file an application on prescribed format to be notified by the Commissioner Commercial Taxes for reimbursement for the Tax paid in cash other than amount of Tax paid by utilization of input tax credit under Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Service Tax Rules 2017 to the Assistant Commissioner/ Commercial Taxes officer, as the case may be by the 15th day of succeeding month after end of quarter after payment of tax resulting to the quarter to which the claims relates.
Jain appealed to the Government that this clause may be removed as it deprives the unit holders who fail to file the claim within the prescribed period for the reasons beyond their control . he also drew the attention of the authorities towards the clarification with regard to determination of amount of reimbursement under SRO 519, 521 and 63.
AOI sought the intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary, Dr A K Mehta into the matter.
