JAMMU, Dec 2: A delegation of Association of Industries (AoI), Gangyal called on Commissioner State Taxes, Dr Rashmi Singh, in presence of Additional Commissioner, Narmrita Dogra and discussed the problems being faced by the industrialists, especially with regard to budgetary support to the industry.
The delegation led by Rajesh Jain, president of the Association apprised the Commissioner of the Govt order No. FD-S/29/2022-03 dated 26-04-2022 in respect of re-imbursement of CGST/SGST on the basis of monthly deposit of amount without deducting the amount available I the credit ledger in the particular quarter by the STOs.
Jain requested the Commissioner, to issue necessary instructions to the concerned STOs to process all those cases which have already been submitted as per the said clarification. The Commissioner, advised the Addl Commissioner to do the needful.
The delegation also requested that under this clarification necessary amendments in the portal may be made so as to enable unit holders to file re-imbursement claims where ever the unit holders could not submit the claims due to confusion regarding the notification which stands clear now. It was further requested that the differential amount deducted from already settled cases may also be released as per the said clarification.
The AoI delegation also pointed out that Clause No. 5.1 of the SRO 63 with regard to delay in filing refund claims is unnecessary a hurdle for the unit holders and it should be withdrawn.
The Commissioner also agreed to it and assured the delegation that she will take up the case with the concerned authorities to resolve the issues.
