JAMMU, May 14: Art of Living (AoL) here celebrated 68th birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar-a spiritual leader and humanitarian.
The celebration commenced with Sadhana (Meditation, Sudarshan Kriya) which was held at more than 12 locations across Jammu in the morning followed by Seva (Langar, distribution of sweets, plantation and donating sapling).
The main event unfolded in the evening, where a grand Maha Satsang was organized at JK Resorts.
Over 400 persons comprising AoL devotees, guests, AoL teachers, apex members and chief guest Swami Divyanand Giri graced the evening of divine music, meditation and knowledge.
Mihir Jani-AoL teacher and singer from Gujarat, mesmerized the occasion with his soul-stirring melodies, resonating with eternal wisdom of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar promoting messages of divinity and humanity.
The event commenced with ‘Guru Puja’ honouring the lineage of spiritual masters who have preserved ancient wisdom throughout ages.
The lamp-lighting ceremony followed symbolizing the illumination of wisdom and knowledge by AoL apex members and STCs of AoL J&K, Ladakh-Vikram Gujral, Sameer Bharti Gupta, Jai Aggarwal, Savinder Gupta, Ishtiaq Wani, Mahesh Badyal, Dr. Rajan Salalia (STC) and Shakti Sagar (DTC).
Anchoring was done by Ritvik Mahajan, AoL Teacher and vote of thanks was delivered by Shakti Sagar, District Coordinator Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Rajan Salalia, State Teachers’ Coordinator of J&K, Ladakh, said, “Teachings of Ravi Shankar will continue to inspire millions around the world.”
