JAMMU, June 5: Apni Party (AP) Provincial secretary and District Jammu Urban president Dr Rohit Gupta today called on Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Department and raised various issues concerning the public.
In the meeting with the Chief Engineer Jal Shakti, Dr Rohit Gupta discussed public issues regarding uninterrupted supply of drinking water and immediate replacement/repair of broken pipes in Jammu City.
He also demanded restoration of drinking water in village Aitham falling in Jammu East constituency. He informed that the area is without drinking water facilities and the people are dependent on a defunct dug-well which needs urgent repair/restoration work.
On listening to him patiently, the Chief Engineer assured the Apni Party leader that work for the new tube well has been allotted and the needful will be done in a short time. The Technical Officer to Chief Engineer was also present during the meeting.
Earlier, Dr Gupta also demanded replacement of old pipes in extension second of Subash Nagar, Jammu.
