APMCC organises Mahayagya at Mata Katyayani Temple

KULGAM, July 16: Hundreds of Kashmiri Hindu devotees today thronged the ancient and historical temple of Mata Katyayani at village Kakran in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on 2nd Annual Mahayagya organised by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) after reconstructing the four temples within the complex.
Kashmiri Hindus along with other Hindus from other parts of the country besides some dignitaries from the State and Central administration reached Katyayani temple on yesterday when the Mahayagya began while the Purna Ahuti was performed on today.
King Bharati, National Spokesperson APMCC, said the Katyayani Temple is the biggest temples that APMCC has reconstructed, but is also the most beautiful one. “APMCC was working on different fronts to restore all the temples of Kashmir Valley to their original glory,” he said.
Meanwhile addressing the devotees at Kakran Vinod Pandit vowed that his organisation was committed to fight for the Kashmir Temple Bill and warned the black sheep to desist from their activities which lead to sending the Bill to Select Committee during last Budget session of the State Assembly.
Vinod said that APMCC was committed to its 6-point charter of demands and announced Kafan Yatra if the Government fails to keep its promise with team APMCC.
It may be recalled that the first Mahayagya was organised at Mata Katyayani temple in Kakaran village in October 2012 during which Murti Sthapna took place.
Prominent among those who attended the function include Capt Narayan Singh, Yoginder Singh Jamwal, Mahinder Singh, Ravinder Pandita, Secretary APMCC, Chand Ji Bhat, Ashok Singh, Sohan Singh.
Among official dignitaries who attended include Pankaj Kumar Srivastav, CO 18th Bn CRPF, Adl DC Kulgam, SSP Kulgam and other dignitaries.
